The game "Domino" was invented in China and India, where small tiles made of ivory with dots – round inlays of black wood – first appeared. Domino was named after the winter attire of Dominican monks. The Christian priests called their outfit that was black on the outside and white inside, as well as the mask image representing the black and white motif.
