The author of the book is Agnieszka Fronczek. She is a poet and writer of stories for children. A Germanist and lexicographer, she holds a doctorate in humanities. She teaches a language course at the University of Warsaw. A very respectable lady, although you wouldn’t guess that from her books for the little ones. She lives in Warsaw with her husband and daughter. “Oh my, four cats? And a dog on top of that?! Oh my!” – that’s what I hear when I talk about my menagerie. But we don’t have enough animals! Who knows, maybe someday a mischievous little bird in a funny cap will move in with us?..
